Free LPG Cylinder: There's great news for Delhi residents. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced two free gas cylinders in anticipation of the major festival of Holi. Significantly, these cylinders will be distributed for Holi as well as Diwali. This proposal was previously approved by the cabinet. Now, ahead of Holi, the government has made a significant announcement. Under this, cooking gas payments will be deposited directly into the accounts of LPG holders. 

Who will be able to avail the benefit?

This scheme is specifically designed for ration card holders and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) families. The government has clarified that only those families with a valid Delhi ration card will benefit from this scheme. It is estimated that approximately 1.75 million ration card holder families will benefit from this scheme.

Statement by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta congratulated Delhi residents after the scheme was approved. She said,
"The Cabinet has approved the decision to provide free cylinders. Delhi ration card holders will receive free gas cylinders during major festivals like Holi and Diwali. This scheme is a major step towards providing relief to poor and middle-class families."

The CM also clarified that ration card holders with PNG (Piped Natural Gas) connection will also be given the benefit of this scheme.

Which documents are necessary?

To avail the benefits of the scheme, beneficiaries must:- 


Aadhar card

A ration card with a Delhi address is required. Applications without these documents will not be accepted.
