Russia Facebook Ban: Facebook limited access to accounts linked to the Russian government after Russia's attack on Ukraine. Russia on Friday announced a ' partial ban' on Facebook . This has been done by Moscow because the social media company had limited access to several Russian government-backed accounts after the attack on Ukraine. Russian state communications agency Roskomnadzor said on Friday it called on Facebook to lift restrictions imposed on Thursday on state news agency RIA Novosti, state TV channel Zvezda and pro-Kremlin news sites Lenta.Ru and Gazeta.Ru. The agency said Facebook has not reinstated the media outlets. According to Roskomnadzor, the restrictions on the accounts included marking their content as untrustworthy and placing technical restrictions on search results to reduce the audience on Facebook.
