A 35-year-old female teacher in Navi Mumbai was arrested for allegedly making obscene video calls to a Class 10 minor student, during which she was semi-nude. A teacher in Navi Mumbai has been arrested for allegedly performing a semi-nude video call with a minor student. The 35-year-old woman has been booked in an FIR under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after the boy’s father filed a police complaint. According to police, the teacher had been sending obscene messages over social media to the boy for some time. Later she started video calls after which the boy informed his parents. The parents then went to the police and lodged a complaint. In his complaint, the boy’s father said the teacher’s conduct had adversely impacted the boy’s mental health.
