WOMEN SECURITY SQUADS STARTED FOR THE SAFETY OF WOMEN IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR
Jammu and Kashmir Police has taken a big step regarding the safety of women. So that the women in the valley feel safe and the confidence of the people in the police can be better. The police started it from Srinagar. It will be extended further in the future. At present, two women safety squads have been formed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure the safety of women in Srinagar. DIG Central Kashmir Sujit Kumar flagged off the first patrol of these squads. He lauded the District Police Srinagar for this initiative and said that it would bring down crime against women and prevent crimes like the recent acid attack. DIG Central Kashmir Sujit Kumar said that these squads will patrol around the school, college and coaching center in Srinagar.
