It was said in the release that 2 people, including the mastermind of the gang who cheated hundreds of people by luring them with houses by obtaining the data of eligible beneficiaries for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, were arrested from Kanpur Dehat. The mastermind of the case is Lakhan Singh's son Rajesh Singh alias Cheeta alias Deepak Mishra.
