Auto-Driver Arrested For Raping 12-Year Girl In Ujjain, Tries To Escape Custody
The primary suspect in the case involving the rape of a 12-year-old girl, whose harrowing ordeal was captured on CCTV as she desperately sought help from door to door, has been aaarested in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Attempting to evade arrest, the suspect, identified as an autorickshaw driver, was pursued by a police team and successfully captured. The police had escorted the accused to the location where the alleged assault took place to collect evidence. Upon arrival at the scene, the accused seized an opportunity to flee from the police. A chase ensued, culminating in his apprehension. Inspector Ajay Kumar informed reporters, "Today, we reached the spot to recover the clothes worn by the girl. Sensing an opportunity, Bharat Soni tried to escape. Police personnel chased and caught him.
