Gold smuggling case: Govt likely to seek explanation from Kerala IAS officer over book
Senior IAS officer M Sivasankar, who is an accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case, came out with an autobiographical book narrating his version of events. The Kerala government may seek an explanation from Sivasankar, the principal secretary of sports and youth affairs, for writing a book on his version of events in the gold smuggling case, without prior government approval. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's opinion will also be sought before seeking an explanation. Sivasankar had allegedly received an unofficial nod from the state government to write the book earlier.
