Russia, India in Talks for More S-400 Deliveries, Says Report

Russia says it is in talks to supply more S-400 missile systems to India. Re-christened as “Sudarshan Chakra” in India, the S-400 air defence system is capable of detecting and destroying missiles and drones. India and Russia are in talks for increased deliveries of the S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, stated a report. The report comes just a day after India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in the Chinese city of Tianjin. Moscow and New Delhi are negotiating increased deliveries of Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to India, TASS news agency cited a senior Russian defence export official as saying late on Tuesday, according to a Reuters report. Iran has warned that its response will be swift and 'doubly destructive'. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has made it clear that 'this is not a warning, but a beginning.' The situation has deteriorated again just hours after the ceasefire announced between Iran and Israel. Israel carried out an airstrike on an Iranian radar site near Tehran on Tuesday. According to Axios, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear to US President Donald Trump that avoiding an attack was not possible and that something must be done in response to Iran's actions. After three failed talks on the Belarus border, the two countries held talks via video link for the first time on March 10. Russia and Ukraine held a fourth round of talks on Monday, the 19th day of the Russian attack on Ukraine, but to no avail. These talks between the two countries through video conference will now continue on Tuesday as well. Ukraine's presidential adviser Mikhailo Podolyak has said that peace talks with Russia ended today, but will resume on Tuesday. Russia Facebook Ban: Facebook limited access to accounts linked to the Russian government after Russia's attack on Ukraine. Russia  on Friday announced a '  partial  ban' on  Facebook . This has been done by Moscow  because the social media company had limited access to several Russian government-backed accounts  after the attack on Ukraine.  Russian state communications agency Roskomnadzor said on Friday it called on Facebook to lift restrictions imposed on Thursday on state news agency RIA Novosti, state TV channel Zvezda and pro-Kremlin news sites Lenta.Ru and Gazeta.Ru. The agency said Facebook has not reinstated the media outlets.
