Drug mafia in Bhopal: Police retaliated on landlords

BENGALURU : Landlords are giving rooms on rent without verifying the information of foreign nationals in order to charge higher rent. Now the police has become strict about this. The Bengaluru Police Department has decided to make accused in narcotics and drug cases against such landlords. Recently, in view of the involvement of foreign nationals in a drug racket in the state capital Bengaluru, the police has started a three-pronged investigation to tackle the drug mafia. The investigation will henceforth investigate the side of the smugglers, both foreigners and homeowners involved in the drug racket. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr S D Sharanappa told IANS, "Those who give their houses on rent to foreign nationals have to give details to the local police station.
