Pakistan’s actions breach 1961 Vienna Convention, which requires host nations to ensure all facilities for diplomatic missions under Article 25 PTC Web Desk: In a retaliatory move following India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, Pakistan reportedly cut off essential supplies to Indian diplomats stationed in Islamabad. According to an India Today report, the Pakistani authorities stopped piped gas supply to the residences of Indian diplomats and instructed local cylinder distributors not to sell gas cylinders to them. In addition to gas, the supply of bottled mineral water and newspapers has also been suspended. The measures are believed to be part of a calculated plan by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), aimed at exerting pressure through a series of small-scale retaliatory actions.
