New Delhi: In a major breakthrough for indigenous weapon systems, the Indian Army has received a supply of 480 munitions manufactured by a Nagpur-based defence manufacturing firm with over 75 per cent indigenous content. The Indian Army has also named the Nagstra-1 as Loitering Munition due to its ability to hover over the target. Defence officials said the first indigenous loiter munition, Nagastra-1, developed by Solar Industries in Nagpur, has completed the supply of 480 loiter munitions under a contract signed under emergency procurement powers by the force.
