The highest court of the UAE, the Court of Cassation, upheld their death sentences, and the executions were carried out as per local laws.   The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Thursday that the UAE authorities had informed the Indian Embassy about the executions on 28 February. Kerala man arrested for assaulting cabin crew, trying to open door of Air India Express flight

Fearing a security threat, the pilot made an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and alerted the security officials. Nadukandee, a native of Kerala, woke up as the flight departed from Kozhikode and immediately went to the rear of the aircraft. There, he allegedly assaulted the cabin crew and tried to open the aircraft door, he said.
