Barabanki Police achieves major success: Man who stole petrol pump safe arrested, over ₹9 lakh cash recovered

As part of the ongoing campaign against crime and criminals in the district, a joint police team from SWAT, Surveillance, and Ramnagar Police Station has solved a sensational theft at a petrol pump and arrested an accused. Police recovered the stolen iron safe and ₹9,11,180 in cash from the accused. What was the matter? On the night of April 13, 2026, unknown thieves stole the entire iron safe, along with cash from oil sales, from the storeroom of the Om Sai Filling Station in village Dalsarai. In this regard, case number 159/2026 was registered at Ramnagar Police Station based on the complaint of the pump's acting manager, Bhanu Pratap Singh. The theft was carried out by evading CCTV, but could not escape the police. A team formed under the direction of Barabanki Superintendent of Police, Mr. Arpit Vijayvargiya, began investigating the case using manual intelligence and digital data.
