The Central Bureau of Investigation has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for each of the five fugitives. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the post-poll violence in West Bengal on the directions of the Calcutta High Court, has issued a letter to the person or persons who helped nab five fugitives allegedly involved in the murder of a BJP worker in the city. He appealed to the people to strictly follow the COVID-appropriate behaviour. "The third wave of the pandemic has started. It is expected to peak by January-end," Mr Tope told reporters. He expressed concerns over many political leaders not adhering to the pandemic protocols despite the rise in cases in Maharashtra.
