Delhi Metro launches special train to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

 

As part of the ongoing ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav-celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence’ (AKAM), a specially decorated Metro train was launched in the presence of Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and other senior officials at Yamuna Bank Metro Station on the Blue Line Tuesday morning.

The train was inducted into passenger services immediately after the launch.

The exterior of this eight-coach special train has been exclusively wrapped and decorated with collage of photographs and slogans depicting the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements in the last 75 years signifying the spirit of ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’.

The train has been symbolically launched on the occasion of Republic Day Celebrations to spread the idea of nationalism and unity amongst general public. This special train will continue to remain in service throughout the commemorative period of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’.

Russia Facebook Ban: Facebook limited access to accounts linked to the Russian government after Russia's attack on Ukraine. Russia  on Friday announced a '  partial  ban' on  Facebook . This has been done by Moscow  because the social media company had limited access to several Russian government-backed accounts  after the attack on Ukraine.  Russian state communications agency Roskomnadzor said on Friday it called on Facebook to lift restrictions imposed on Thursday on state news agency RIA Novosti, state TV channel Zvezda and pro-Kremlin news sites Lenta.Ru and Gazeta.Ru. The agency said Facebook has not reinstated the media outlets. Indian Air Force Involved In Operation Ganga To Rescue Indians Stranded In Ukraine

Pradeep Kumar's report- The central government has intensified the operation to rescue Indian citizens and students trapped in Ukraine. In the next three days, 26 flights will be operated for the return of Indians. Indian Air Force has joined Operation Ganga to evacuate Indian nationals from Ukraine. The C-17 Globemaster took off for Romania early this Wednesday. On Wednesday, a total of three C-17 Globemasters left to bring Indians. Indian Air Force C-17 transport aircraft took off from Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad to bring back Indian nationals from Ukraine. Along with food items, many medical supplies have also been sent in the plane. More than 15,000 Indian students are stranded in Ukraine amid the war between Russia and Ukraine. So far 1,554 Indians have been rescued through 8 flights from war-torn Ukraine.
