Two Indian nationals from Kerala, Muhammed Rinash Arangilottu and Muraleedharan Perumthatta Valappil, have been executed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after being convicted in separate murder cases. The highest court of the UAE, the Court of Cassation, upheld their death sentences, and the executions were carried out as per local laws.   The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Thursday that the UAE authorities had informed the Indian Embassy about the executions on 28 February. Wrestler Sushil Kumar, who is locked in Delhi's Tihar jail in connection with a junior wrestler Sagar Dhankar's muder case, got regular bail from the Delhi High Court on Tuesday. Earlier in July 2023, Sushil Kumar received a seven-day interim bail for knee surgery. According to the charge sheet by Delhi Police, Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar and his associates allegedly attacked Sagar Dhankar and two friends, Sonu and Amit Kumar. The incident occurred on the night between May 4 and 5, 2021. Tragically, Sagar later died from his injuries.
