Marriage to a Nepali citizen, house in Mathura and fake Aadhaar-PAN card... Thai woman caught trying to infiltrate India-Nepal border, police investigating

During investigation at Sonauli border of India-Nepal border, the Immigration Department team has arrested a Thai woman on the charge of possessing fake Indian documents.


During a check at the Sonauli border on the Indo-Nepal border, the Immigration Department arrested a Thai woman for possessing fake Indian documents. After questioning, the woman was handed over to the Sonauli police for further action. The police have registered a case under relevant sections and have initiated further action. According to information, passengers entering India were being checked at the Sonauli immigration office.


Meanwhile, a foreign woman traveling from Nepal to India showed her Thai passport and visa. The woman's speech and language aroused suspicion among officials. Upon questioning and investigation, she was identified as Chon Chutichiraphat, a resident of Thailand. During the investigation, digital copies of allegedly fake Indian documents prepared in the name of "Karuna Rupni Devi Dasi," wife of Mitralal Khanal, resident of Vaishnav Nagar, Ramanreti, Vrindavan, Mathura, were found on the woman's mobile phone. These included an Aadhaar card, Voter ID number ZMY 4348066, and a PAN card number DAFPD459D. The woman was also found carrying an original Thai passport number AC2825032.


Married a Nepali citizen in Thailand, bought land in Mathura and built a house


During interrogation, it was revealed that the woman was married to Nepali citizen Mitralal Khanal in Thailand in the year 2005. In the year 2006, she came to India with her husband and started living in a rented house in Mathura. In the year 2011, the couple bought land in Mathura and built a house. It is alleged that after this, fake Indian documents were allegedly prepared in the woman's name by changing her identity. The woman's two children Nandani (20) and Neeraj (18) are also studying in Mathura. The woman had gone to visit Nepal on 19 May 2026 and was caught during immigration check at Sonauli border while returning to India on 16 August.


After questioning, immigration officials handed the woman over to the Sonauli police. Police are investigating allegations of creating and using fake identity documents. Further legal action is underway in the case.
