Major police encounter in Shamli, Kairana escape accused Furkan killed; carrying a reward of one lakh rupees

Furkan, a criminal carrying a bounty of 1 lakh rupees, was killed in an encounter between police and criminals in Shamli district. Furkan had more than 30 cases registered against him, including murder, extortion, and the Kairana exodus.


Shamli Police Encounter: Police in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district have achieved a major success. Furkan, a criminal carrying a reward of one lakh rupees, was killed in an encounter between police and criminals near Rangana village in the Jhinjhana police station area. During the encounter, Furkan opened fire on the police team, prompting police action. One policeman was shot in the stomach, while two other policemen were struck by bullets on their bulletproof jackets. The injured policeman has been admitted to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.


Furkan was absconding for a long time

According to the police, Furkan had been absconding for a long time. A continuous search operation was underway for his arrest, and a reward of 1 lakh rupees had been announced for his arrest. Furkan had more than 30 cases registered against him, including murder, robbery, extortion, attempted murder, and other serious crimes. He was considered an active member of the notorious Mukeem Kala gang.

Kairana name was associated with migration

Furkan's name also surfaced in the infamous Kairana migration case. It is alleged that in 2014, he, along with the Mukeem Kala gang, extorted money from and threatened traders. According to the police, traders were even murdered for not paying the extortion money. Following these incidents, many traders and families in Kairana fled their homes out of fear and moved to other cities and states. At the time, this case became a topic of discussion across the country.


Fear spread after the murder of the businessman

According to police officials, Furkan was also accused of murdering businessman Vinod Singhal in broad daylight. After being released from jail on bail, he resumed threatening and extorting money from businessmen. The series of incidents created an atmosphere of fear in the area, and many families fled. It is reported that approximately 346 families left Kairana at that time.


Weapons recovered from the scene

Following the encounter, police recovered a carbine, a pistol, and live ammunition from the scene. Police say one of Furkan's associates managed to escape and a search operation is underway in the surrounding areas. Police are also investigating Furkan's other associates and his criminal network.


SP gave complete information

Shamli Superintendent of Police N.P. Singh stated that in 2014, Mukeem Kala and Furkan created an atmosphere of terror in Kairana. He added that within just 10 days, three businessmen were murdered for not paying extortion money, leading to a mass exodus from the area. He added that Furkan was an active member of the gang and had been wanted for a long time.


Continuous action against Mukeem Kala gang

According to the police, notorious criminal Mukeem Kala was killed in a gang war in Chitrakoot jail a few years ago. Several of his shooters have also been killed in police encounters in recent years. Police say Furkan was the gang's remaining key criminal, and his death will have a significant impact on the gang's activities.
