CJP refuses to back down on Pradhan’s exit, claims government asked for time until tomorrow; All you need to know

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has refused to withdraw its demand for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation following a second round of talks with Union Minister JP Nadda.


The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has reiterated that its demand for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is non-negotiable. The statement came after the group’s leaders held a second round of discussions with Union Minister JP Nadda. CJP, which has been leading the student protests at Jantar Mantar, claimed that the government has requested time until Saturday afternoon to respond to its demand.


The resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remains the main demand of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been leading protests for the past month over the alleged NEET paper leak. The protests turned violent on July 20 when students tried to march towards Parliament. CJP has warned that it will intensify the agitation if Pradhan does not step down.


Government Agrees to Two Demands


After a nearly two-hour meeting at the Constitution Club, CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the government had agreed in principle to two of the organisation’s demands.


These include compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide and no action against student protesters, including the withdrawal of FIRs and legal cases.


Centre Seeks More Time on Resignation Demand


Ranka said the government has asked for time until Saturday afternoon to respond to CJP’s demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.


“We hope the government will remove him soon,” he told reporters after the meeting.


He added that the Centre had given in-principle approval to the demands for compensation and the withdrawal of legal cases against students.


Third Round of Talks on Saturday


A third round of discussions between the CJP leadership and the Centre will be held on Saturday. The government is being represented in the talks by Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.
