Badrinath Offering Theft Controversy: Now, a case of misappropriation of offerings has come to light at Badrinath, one of the Char Dhams in Uttarakhand. The temple committee has ordered an investigation. Show-cause notices have also been issued to the accused.

Badrinath Offering Theft Controversy: After the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the controversy of offering theft has now reached Uttarakhand. A case of misappropriation of the offering money has come to light in Badrinath, one of the Char Dhams in Uttarakhand. The temple committee has ordered an inquiry. Show cause notices have also been issued to the accused.

The main controversy that has recently surfaced in Badrinath Dham is related to misappropriation of donations and offering money. After the Ram Temple donation controversy in Ayodhya, a letter and CCTV footage from Badrinath went viral on social media, in which serious allegations of money theft and irregularities were made against the temple committee employees. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has ordered an inquiry into the matter.

Confidence in a fair investigation

Regarding reports of alleged misuse of donations at the Badrinath Temple, BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said that the allegations of irregularities in donations and offerings received by the temple committee in the media have been taken very seriously. A committee has been formed to conduct an impartial and fact-based investigation of the entire matter. Action will be taken against the employees whose names have surfaced in these allegations.

Notice issued to the accused

BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said, "Regarding the reports and allegations circulating on social media about the alleged embezzlement of donations and offerings at the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Dham, I want to say that the temple committee has taken this matter very seriously. Our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has issued show-cause notices to all employees and officials involved in the counting process, specifically those involved in the counting process."

Inquiry committee formed, will be made public

Hemant Dwivedi stated that an inquiry committee has been formed with immediate effect; this committee will conduct its investigation and submit its report as soon as possible, which will be made public. Strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty, as this is an extremely sensitive matter that we are taking very seriously, as millions of people have deep faith in this sacred pilgrimage site. All necessary action was initiated within 24 hours.

The President distanced himself from his personal secretary.

BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said, "As Chairman of the BKTC, I have been seeing reports on social media since morning claiming that an employee purported to be my personal secretary is involved in this matter. I want to clarify that I do not have a personal secretary. This employee is a regular employee of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee and has worked with the last three chairmen. If the allegations are found to be true, I assure you that the strictest possible action will be taken against him."

The controversy started with the allegations of Bhairav Sena

Bhairav Sangathan President Sandeep Khatri has alleged that an employee of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) committed theft at the Badrinath temple during a designated time. This allegation has further escalated the situation. President Sandeep Khatri stated that several issues related to the BKTC have been controversial, including the gold case and the QR code controversy. Now, allegations of outright embezzlement of offerings made by devotees are being made. Such acts of embezzlement will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
