Maur Bomb Blast Case: The Honorable Court of Talwandi Sabo has taken a tough stand in the much-publicized Maur bomb blast case that took place exactly four days before the Punjab Assembly elections 2017. The court of Judicial Magistrate Fast Class Neeraj Goyal has ordered the early disposal of this high-profile case on priority basis. The Honorable Judge has issued summons and notices to 18 key witnesses and summoned them for the next hearing.
As per the court order, a total of 33 witnesses have been recorded in this case. However, no witness was present in the court during the hearing on Monday. The 18 witnesses who have been summoned by the honorable court. They are considered important in connecting the entire blast chain. The bank manager has been summoned for the bank account records of the money transactions by the alleged accused.
Shopkeepers from Sirsa and surrounding areas who modified the white Maruti 800 used in the blast to sell its body and spare parts, and the two doctors who treated the injured and immediately took them to the Civil Hospital in Bathinda in the accident and conducted the postmortem of the deceased, have also been summoned. The hearing of this case will now be held on July 9, 2026.
