Shiromani Akali Dal and AAP workers clash in Abohar, bricks and stones hurled, 5 injured
According to reports, while voting was underway in New Shakya Nagar this afternoon, supporters of the Akali Dal candidate said that some AAP members tried to forcefully cast fake votes.
A fierce commotion broke out at booth number 30 of New Shakya Nagar on Sriganganagar Road in Abohar this afternoon. A clash broke out between AAP and Akali Dal members protesting against the rigging of votes. They attacked each other with bricks. Five people, including a woman, were injured. They were immediately admitted to the hospital, where one person was seriously injured and was referred after first aid.

AAP's Chandrabhan's son Mohan Lal and Raj Kumar's son Ajay Kumar were also injured in the same incident. Meanwhile, on receiving information about a fight at a polling station, City 2 police reached the spot, chased away the rioters, and immediately admitted the injured to the hospital.
On the other hand, according to the hospital doctors, Karam Chand and Sanjay Kumar suffered serious head injuries due to the brick attack, out of which Karam Chand has been referred. As soon as this information was received, Akali Dal Abohar constituency in-charge Harbinder Singh Harry and Youth Halka in-charge Sahil Chhabra also reached the spot and accused the AAP leaders of bullying and hooliganism.
