Prayagraj: A special MP-MLA court has sentenced former UP MLA Vijay Mishra and three of his close associates to life imprisonment in a 46-year-old murder case.


Prayagraj: Big news has emerged regarding Uttar Pradesh's powerful former MLA Vijay Mishra. The MP-MLA Special Court in Prayagraj sentenced former MLA Vijay Mishra to rigorous life imprisonment in a 46-year-old murder case. The court sentenced Vijay Mishra and four other accused to life imprisonment. The court sentenced them to rigorous life imprisonment under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees each.


It is reported that Judge Yogesh Kumar III of the MP-MLA Special Court has imposed an additional sentence of 10 years and a fine of 50,000 rupees each on all the accused under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. Three of the accused were convicted yesterday.

The court convicted all four accused yesterday. In addition to Vijay Mishra, the court also announced sentences for three other accused: Jeet Narayan, Santram Mishra, and Balram Mishra. Judge Yogesh Kumar III of the MP-MLA Special Court sentenced them to life imprisonment and a fine of one lakh rupees each. 


What is the whole matter?

The court has sentenced the culprits in the murder case of 35-year-old Prakash Narayan Pandey, which occurred on February 11, 1980. 35-year-old Prakash Narayan was killed in an indiscriminate firefight in the court premises. Following the murder, his elder brother, Shyam Narayan Pandey, filed a murder FIR at the Colonelganj police station. Five other people were also injured in the shooting. Now, the court has delivered its verdict and sentenced the culprits to life imprisonment.


Decision during tight security arrangements

It is reported that strongman Vijay Mishra was brought to the court premises under tight security for the verdict. A heavy police force was also deployed outside the MP MLA Special Court. Meanwhile, the other three accused, who were out on bail, were sent to jail after being convicted yesterday.
