Big announcement made in Punjab for May 2nd! There will be a...

Nurpurbedi (Sanjeev Bhandari)- The protest against the Himachal entry tax has now gained more momentum. In this regard, during a meeting held today under the leadership of Kirti Kisan Morcha at village Munne in the area, the protest committee has announced to make the Modra Toll Plaza located on the Kiratpur Sahib-Manali National Highway free for vehicles going to Himachal on May 2. Which has been named as 'Halla Bol Sangharsh', a symbol of the enthusiasm of Punjabis. The protest committee believes that it is wrong to impose two tolls on the same National Highway and this step is being taken under this strategy.

During the plenary meeting of various organizations held today, the protestors decided that no leader of any political party, whether ruling or opposition, will be given a mic to address from the stage. While they will only be able to participate in the protest.

Apart from this, an 11-member disciplinary committee has been formed to talk to the administration and it has also been decided that only collective decisions will be implemented at every place. Meanwhile, a possible protest will be announced on May 2 evening regarding the next action regarding all 33 entry points of Punjab bordering Himachal.

During the meeting, Kirti Kisan Morcha State President Veer Singh Barwa and Punjab Morcha Convener Gaurav Rana said that the National Highway Authority of India has so far failed to remove the unconstitutional tolls imposed by Himachal Pradesh on its highways, due to which it had to take this tough decision. They said that the Punjab government has not yet made any clear statement regarding reciprocal tax, which will also determine the government's accountability in the coming days.

The protestors have given a signal to stage a permanent front.
They warned that more big announcements will be made on the spot on May 2 to teach a lesson to the prosperous government of Himachal. Along with this, farmers from the villages have been invited to arrive in large numbers with tractor-trolleys and preparations for staging a permanent front have been intensified. District Convener of the United Kisan Morcha, Dharampal Sainimajra, said that to teach a lesson to the Himachal government, both legal and land battles will be supported by increasing their support. He also invited people to reach the said place in large numbers and strengthen the struggle.

The renewed agitation has created difficulties for the administrative officers of both the governments.
It is noteworthy that the Sukhu government was forced to withdraw the tax increase imposed by the Himachal Pradesh government due to the protest by the said agitators, but now the renewed agitation has once again increased the difficulties of the Punjab and Himachal Pradesh governments. In this meeting, Veer Singh Barwa, Convener Gaurav Rana, Kashmir Singh Nangli, Dharampal Saini, Pritam Singh, Avtar Singh, Amarjit Singh, Subedar Roshan Lal, Gurcharan Singh Poswal, Dr. Davinder Bajar, Harpreet Singh, Major Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Gurnam Singh, Jaswant Singh, Jasbir Bath, Balwinder Singh Sethi Barwa, Binder Saskor and Binder Bhagal along with other leaders presented their views and agreed to the decisions taken regarding the agitation starting from May 2 by raising their hands.
