The driver's negligence is being considered as the main reason for the accident. The police have arrested the accused driver and started an investigation.


The incident took place in Guru Nanak Pura West of Jalandhar. The driver is said to be originally from Moga district. He had gone to meet a relative living in the area. According to eyewitnesses, he was trying to turn his car into the street when the accident occurred.

The deceased girl has been identified as Radhika. Radhika was playing in the street outside her house like every day. When the driver was turning the car, he did not pay attention to the girl playing in the street below. He turned the car without looking, due to which Radhika came under the tires of the car. 


 As soon as the sound of the accident was heard and the family saw Radhika lying in a pool of blood. The people of the neighborhood immediately gathered, but by then the innocent Radhika had stopped breathing. The family is in a bad situation due to the sudden death of the 7-year-old girl. After the accident, the driver fled the scene instead of taking her to the hospital. The accident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed outside the house and people informed the police about the incident.


The police arrested the accused. 

ASI Satnam Singh, investigating officer of Rama Mandi police station, said that driver Jaswinder Singh had come to Gurunanak Pura in Jalandhar to collect his son's exam papers, where he hit the girl and fled the scene. After the family complained, the driver was arrested and the car was seized.
