The Nashik court on Monday denied her relief. The court rejected her interim bail plea on April 20th. The next hearing on her bail plea has been scheduled for April 27th.
Bail plea filed citing pregnancy
Last week, Nida Khan filed for interim bail, citing her pregnancy as the reason for her plea. The accused's family also claimed that Nida Khan was two months pregnant. However, during the hearing today, the court categorically refused to grant interim bail, citing the seriousness of the case and the ongoing investigation.
This important case is being heard by a bench headed by District Judge KG Joshi, whose court proceedings have been requested to be kept confidential by the public prosecutor.
Nida Khan suspended by TCS
Although Nida Khan has not yet been arrested, she remains at large, and the police have formed several teams to apprehend her. Following the incident, TCS has taken a firm stance and suspended Nida Khan. The company is also conducting an internal investigation into the matter.
8 arrested in the case, but Nida Khan absconding
Following allegations of exploitation of female employees at a TCS unit, attempts at forced religious conversion, hurting religious sentiments, molestation, and mental harassment, the Nashik Police Special Investigation Team (SIT) registered nine FIRs and arrested eight people, including a female manager. However, the alleged mastermind, Nida Khan, remains at large. Nashik Police have formed three teams to apprehend Nida Khan.
