Aam Aadmi Party takes big action against Raghav Chadha; Removed from the post of Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha

The Aam Aadmi Party has written to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat requesting that Raghav Chadha be removed from the post of the party's deputy leader in the Upper House and that he be denied speaking time from the AAP quota. The AAP also requested that Ashok Mittal be appointed as the party's deputy leader in the Upper House.


Ashok Mittal gets responsibility 

Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha member from Punjab, will now be the new deputy leader of AAP in the Rajya Sabha. He said it is a routine process. Before him, ND Gupta was the deputy leader of the party.


It is worth mentioning that this action against Raghav Chadha has come at a time when he has been continuously raising public issues in the Rajya Sabha. He has continuously raised issues of public interest, be it Rs 10 tea at the airport or the issue of delivery boys.


Kejriwal met Raghav Chadha during the Anna movement. 


Raghav Chadha first met Arvind Kejriwal during the Anna Movement and helped him draft the Lokpal Bill. He later became close to Kejriwal, and the Aam Aadmi Party appointed Chadha as its spokesperson. At that time, Raghav was the youngest spokesperson of the party. In the year 2019, Chadha contested the Lok Sabha elections from the South Delhi constituency but lost. However, in the Delhi Assembly elections that same year, he contested from the Rajendra Nagar constituency and won.
