Bhopal sisters arrested over alleged sex racket, rape and forced religious conversion after job promise trap

Two Bhopal sisters arrested over alleged sex racket, rape and forced conversion after women accused them of luring victims with job offers.

A shocking case has come to light in Bhopal, where two sisters have been arrested following serious allegations made by two women. What began as promises of employment and financial stability has now turned into a police investigation involving charges of rape, forced religious conversion, and suspected organised exploitation.

The accused, Amreen and Afreen, were arrested along with their associate Chandan Yadav after two women aged 21 and 32 filed complaints at Bagh Sewania police station on Sunday night. Police officials said the complaints were filed separately but shared several similarities. Three other accused Bilal, Chanu, and Yasir are currently absconding.

Alleged Job Trap Targeting Vulnerable Women

According to investigators, the sisters allegedly approached young women from economically weaker backgrounds and offered them domestic work with a salary of Rs 10,000 per month. They were also promised free accommodation, food, and what was described as a comfortable, high-profile lifestyle.

Police sources said the sisters previously lived in a small house in Abbas Nagar but had recently shifted to a villa in Sagar Royal Villas, a posh locality in Bhopal. Officials suspect the sudden financial rise may be linked to illegal earnings.

The complainants told police that after initially working as domestic help, they were gradually introduced to parties, pubs, and lounges. They allege that they were pressured to socialise with wealthy men and were sometimes forced to consume alcohol and drugs.

Sex Racket Allegations Surface

Police are investigating claims that the accused were running a sex racket under the cover of offering jobs. According to the FIR, the victims were allegedly taken to different cities, including Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Mumbai, and introduced to strangers under various pretexts.

One complainant, a beautician from Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh, alleged that she was taken to Ahmedabad in December 2025 for work. She claimed that Yasir raped her there, while Bilal and Chanu assaulted her on other occasions.

The second complainant, who worked as a maid at Amreen’s house in Bhopal, alleged that Chandan Yadav raped her at his sister’s home in Narayan Nagar. She told police she was threatened with death and public defamation if she revealed what had happened.

Both women also claimed they were photographed in compromising situations and blackmailed whenever they tried to leave the job.

Claims of Forced Religious Conversion

One of the most serious allegations involves forced religious conversion. According to the FIR, Chandan Yadav allegedly told one victim that he had converted to Islam and pressured her to convert as well, promising marriage into a respectable family. The woman stated she converted under pressure and was later made to wear a burqa and offer prayers.

Police have registered the case under sections related to rape and forced conversion and are examining the matter closely.

Wider Network Under Scanner

During the arrests, police seized mobile phones belonging to the accused. Officials said suspicious WhatsApp groups were found on one device, allegedly containing photographs of multiple young women.

Additional DCP Gautam Solanki confirmed that a case has been registered and that further investigation is underway. Police are now examining financial transactions, travel records, and digital communications to determine whether the accused were part of a larger interstate network. Authorities say more details will emerge as the investigation continues.
