Tightening grip on Sambhal violence mastermind Shariq Satha, property seized on court orders
Sambhal News: During the investigation after the Sambhal violence, the police and SIT found that there was an organised conspiracy behind this violence, in which the name of Shariq Satha emerged as the main conspirator.
The administration has begun tightening its grip on Shariq Satha, the mastermind of the violence that occurred in Sambhal district, Uttar Pradesh, in November 2024. Today, his house is being confiscated. Shariq Satha's home is located in Deepa Sarai, Sambhal. The court has issued a permanent warrant for the confiscation of his house. A total of 69 criminal cases are registered against Shariq, including murder, the Arms Act, and cases related to the Sambhal violence. Shariq Satha is currently based abroad.
In fact, massive violence erupted in Sambhal on November 24, 2024, when a survey was being conducted around the Shahi Jama Masjid on the orders of a local court. This led to clashes between protesters and police, leading to stone-throwing, arson, and firing, resulting in several deaths and injuries. Officers were deployed to maintain law and order in the area during the violence, but the situation spiraled out of control.
Shariq's name came up during the investigation
During the investigation, the police and Special Investigation Team (SIT) discovered an organized conspiracy behind the violence, and Shariq Satha emerged as the main perpetrator. Satha, who operates from Dubai and has been involved in the criminal world for several years, faces over 60 criminal charges, including serious charges such as murder, arms trafficking, and harassment.
Along with inciting the crowd, weapons were also provided.
Police claim he played a role in supplying weapons and inciting mobs to violence, and directed the events through his local associates. Police have issued a lookout circular against Shariq Satha, declaring him a proclaimed offender, and are now pursuing an Interpol Red Corner Notice to apprehend him abroad.
Several new FIRs have been filed against him in various police station areas, and a court has issued a permanent warrant for the attachment of his home. Police have also taken steps to seize his and his gang's property. Shariq Satha's home is being attached today after an announcement in the area.
