Greater Noida: Software engineer Yuvraj Mehta dies a painful death; rescue team fails to reach despite 90 minutes of struggle

Teams of police, fire department, SDRF and NDRF reached the spot, but due to dense fog and short length of ropes and ladders, the rescue operation was not successful.

The death of a 27-year-old software engineer in Greater Noida has shocked people... because he died while waiting for help. But proper assistance was not forthcoming... When you delve into the details of the accident, it becomes clear why no one provided the young man with the proper assistance... but had help been provided, he might have survived.

Yuvraj tried his best to save his life, but even after falling into deep water, he continued to wait for help. The accident occurred late Friday night while he was returning to Noida from Gurugram in his Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Due to heavy fog, he turned in the wrong direction, and the car broke through a drain wall and fell into a 50-meter-deep pit.

Yuvraj somehow managed to climb onto the roof of the car and called his father to inform him of the accident. He said, "Dad, I'm stuck, the car has fallen into the drain." Afterward, he stood on the roof of the car for approximately 90 minutes, pleading for help, but rescue teams were delayed. Police, fire, SDRF, and NDRF teams arrived at the scene, but heavy fog and the short length of ropes and ladders prevented rescue operations from succeeding.

Yuvraj's body was later retrieved using a boat. This tragedy has raised many questions, particularly about the insensitivity of the rescue operation. Yuvraj's friends and others say that the fire brigade, SDRF, and police acted inappropriately at the scene, and that the incident revealed a severe lack of resources. This tragic incident has also raised questions about the preparedness of the local administration and rescue teams.
