Big revelation in the murder of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh, it was not an insult to Prophet Mohammad, this was the real reason

Bangladesh Violence: On December 18th, while violence erupted in Bangladesh over the death of political leader Osman Hadi, a Muslim youth was hanged from a tree and burned to death for insulting Islam. The truth has now come to light.

A new twist has emerged in the investigation into the horrific incident in which a Hindu youth, Dipu Chandra Das, was beaten to death by a mob in the Bhaluka sub-district of Bangladesh's Mymensingh district, and his body was tied to a tree and burned.

Initially, it was reported as a case of blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad, but investigations by the police and the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) found no concrete evidence to support this allegation. Investigating officers say the real motive for the murder was a work dispute within the factory, involving production targets, overtime, and a recent promotion exam.

Handed over to the mob due to a dispute in the factory

According to the Dhaka Tribune, 27-year-old Dipuchandra Das was a floor manager at Pioneer Knitwears (BD) Limited, a garment factory. He had recently passed a promotion exam for a supervisor position. Senior factory manager Sakib Mahmud said that around 5 p.m., some workers began protesting inside the factory, accusing Dipu of hurting religious sentiments. Dipu's brother, Apu Chandra Das, said that Dipu had been having ongoing disputes with several coworkers over working conditions, targets, and worker benefits.

On December 18, 2025, the dispute escalated, and the factory floor in-charge forced Dipu to resign. He was then taken out of the factory and handed over to the mob. Apu received a call from Dipu's friend Himel that Dipu was being taken to the police station, but a short time later, he learned that he had died. When Apu arrived at the scene, he found the body burned.

Beaten to death, tied to a tree and burned

According to the police, Deepu was beaten near a highway about a kilometer from the factory. After his death, his body was tied to a tree, doused with kerosene, and set on fire. Horrific videos of the incident went viral on social media, showing a mob beating Deepu and burning his body.

According to the Dhaka Tribune and the Daily Star,

  • Mymensingh's Additional Superintendent of Police, Abdullah Al Mamun, said, "The blasphemy allegations are just lip service. We haven't found any truth to them yet."
  • Bhaluka Model Police Station officer Mohammad Jahidul Islam said no evidence of religious insult was found. The investigation is focused on internal disputes within the factory.
  • RAB Company Commander MD Shamsuzzaman said, "No one at the scene heard Dipu say anything against religion. No posts were found on Facebook or online. The incident began at 4 p.m. when the floor in-charge forced Dipu to resign and handed him over to the angry mob."
  • Local ward member Tofazzel Hussain said, "This appears to be a planned act, not out of religious anger. There was a conspiracy to expel Dipu from the factory."

12 people were arrested in this case

According to the Dhaka Tribune, those arrested include factory floor manager Alamgir Hossain, quality in-charge Miraj Hossain Akon, and workers Ashiqur Rahman, Qayyum, Limon Sarkar, Tariq Hossain, Mainik Mia, Irshad Ali, Nizamuddin, Ajmal Hasan Saghir, Shahid Mia, and Nazmul. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.

Deepu's life could have been saved if information had been received in time.

Police say the factory management failed to notify them in time, which could have saved Dipu's life. Factory officials say they did call the police, but the crowd and traffic jam delayed their arrival. The incident occurred at a time when large protests were underway in Bangladesh following the death of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi. Hadi's death had fueled unrest in the country.

India expressed deep concern over this horrific killing

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, "We are closely monitoring the situation in Bangladesh. We have expressed concern about attacks on minorities and demanded punishment for the perpetrators."

Bangladesh's interim government has also strongly condemned the killing. The government stated, "There is no place for such violence in the new Bangladesh. The culprits will not be spared." It promised to punish the guilty once the investigation is complete.
