In Bhuj, Gujarat, BCA student Sakshi Bhanushali was murdered by her boyfriend Mohit Siddhpura by slitting her throat with a knife. The girl had blocked the accused on social media and broke off the relationship. During an argument, the accused attacked Sakshi and her friend Jayesh and injured them. Sakshi died during treatment. The police have arrested the accused.

The stabbing to death of Sakshi Bhanushali, a BCA first year student at Sanskar College on Airport Road in Bhuj, has shaken the entire area. The case is related to love affairs. According to the police, Sakshi was in a love relationship with Mohit Muljibhai Siddhpura, who lived in her neighbourhood, but recently she broke this relationship and decided to continue her studies and started living in Bhuj.

Deputy SP Raviraj Singh Jadeja said that Mohit lived in Sakshi's neighbourhood in Gandhidham. He was constantly pressuring Sakshi to leave her studies and return to Gandhidham. When Sakshi told her mother the whole thing, she advised her daughter to break off relations with him and block contact. After this, Sakshi distanced herself from Mohit.

Hurt by this, Mohit reached Bhuj on a bike with his friend Jayesh Thakor. There was a heated argument between the two near the college. In anger, Mohit attacked Sakshi and Jayesh with a knife. Both of them were seriously injured and were immediately taken to GK General Hospital Bhuj. Sakshi died late at night during treatment, due to which this case turned into murder.

Taking immediate action, West Kutch Police arrested the accused Mohit within a few hours and obtained his remand. The police is engaged in further investigation. After this heinous incident, there is a lot of anger among the student organizations. ABVP and NSUI have submitted a memorandum to the District Collector demanding increased security in the educational campuses of the entire Kutch district. Also, they have appealed for strict action against the accused.
