Amarnath Yatra: 2 suspects arrested during checking amid heavy security for Amarnath Yatra, narcotics recovered
Jammu and Kashmir Police is continuously conducting checking campaigns regarding Amarnath Yatra. In this connection, two suspicious youths have been arrested from a bus. Narcotics have been recovered from them.
The countdown for the Amarnath Yatra has begun. A large number of devotees have set out for the darshan of Baba Barfani. The local police, security agencies and the army are constantly making efforts to make the Yatra safer and more convenient than ever before. 24-hour checking campaigns are being conducted for the Yatra. In this regard, Doda police achieved a major success on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, during the checking being done under the security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra in Doda district, the police got a big success. During the checking, the police caught two youths from whom narcotics were recovered.
2 suspects arrested with drugs in Doda
Doda Deputy SP Ajay Anand informed that due to Amarnath Yatra, 24-hour surveillance and checking campaign is being carried out. When a bus was stopped for checking, two boys, Amjad Ali and Vikas alias Sunny, got down from the bus and started running. Police chased and caught them and recovered a total of 22 grams of narcotics from them. SP said that the police is constantly keeping an eye on such people whose activities seem suspicious.

How long will the trip last
The holy Amarnath Yatra 2025 is going to start from July 3. The first batch of pilgrims will leave from Jammu base camp on July 2. The yatra will officially start on July 3 from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. The yatra will conclude on August 9 on the day of Sawan Purnima. This holy yatra, which lasts for a total of 38 days, is considered a symbol of spiritual faith, courage and dedication for the devotees.
