A 25-year-old IT professional from Manikonda allegedly faced sexual assault by a 24-year-old man she met on Instagram a month before. Accused identified as J. Siddha Reddy, 24, a resident of Balanagar and originally from Nalgonda, had met the woman on the social media platform a month ago. Under the pretence of celebrating her birthday, Reddy, who had gained the woman’s trust over their online communication and subsequent phone calls, had invited her to his residence on Wednesday. The accused was employed with a private IT firm in the city. The woman arrived at Reddy’s home in the evening, and the two shared a beer as part of the celebration. A 35-year-old female teacher in Navi Mumbai was arrested for allegedly making obscene video calls to a Class 10 minor student, during which she was semi-nude. A teacher in Navi Mumbai has been arrested for allegedly performing a semi-nude video call with a minor student. The 35-year-old woman has been booked in an FIR under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after the boy’s father filed a police complaint. According to police, the teacher had been sending obscene messages over social media to the boy for some time. Later she started video calls after which the boy informed his parents. The parents then went to the police and lodged a complaint. In his complaint, the boy’s father said the teacher’s conduct had adversely impacted the boy’s mental health. Over 1.5 million Afghans returned from Iran, Pakistan in 2025: UN

  Kabul [Afghanistan], July 29 (ANI): More than 1.5 million Afghan migrants have returned to Afghanistan from neighbouring countries since the start of 2025, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Tolo News reported. In a report released on July 19, the OCHA said, As of 19 July, 1,541,000 Afghans have returned to Afghanistan in 2025, including 1,201,000 from Iran and 340,000 from Pakistan. The UN agency noted that while returnee flows from Iran remained high, around 460,000 between July 1 and 19, the pace of daily deportations had begun to decline, with approximately 9,000 Afghans arriving per day as of mid-July. This downward trend, it added, may be linked to ongoing diplomatic discussions between de facto authority officials from Afghanistan and the Government of Iran, Tolo News reported.
