Pahalgam
Terror Attack: Within 48 hours of the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam ,
Jammu and Kashmir, India gave a strong message to the enemies by testing a
missile from the warship INS Surat on Thursday. After Pakistan started firing
drills, the Indian Navy showed the indigenous warship capability. The Indian
Navy's latest indigenous guided missile destroyer (warship) INS Surat destroyed
a target at sea with a missile for the first time.
Indian Navy showed strength
This is an important milestone in strengthening the defense
capabilities of the Navy. This achievement shows India's growing proficiency in
indigenous warship design, development and operation and underlines the
country's commitment to self-reliance in defense manufacturing. India conducted
this test in the Arabian Sea, which is important in this regard. In fact,
Pakistan is also going to test a missile in the same area.

Indian Navy destroyed the
target
Just a few days ago, DRDO and the Indian Navy successfully
test-fired the indigenously developed Vertical-Launched Short-Range
Surface-to-Air Missile (VLSRSAM). The test was completed on March 26 at around
12:00 noon from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) located at Chandipur on the
Odisha coast. During this, the missile destroyed a high-speed aerial target
from a land-based vertical launcher at a very close range and low altitude.
