UP: Class 2 student killed due to 'black magic', sacrificed for the 'prosperity' of school, 5 arrested

Hathras School Black Magic: UP Police has arrested five people in the case, including the school owner, director, principal and two other teachers.

Hathras Case: Last week, an 11-year-old boy studying in Class 2 was killed in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district as part of a 'black magic' human sacrifice ritual by school owners to make the educational institution more prosperous. According to the police, the boy, named Kritarth, studied in DL Public School.

Police said that Jasodhan Singh, the owner of the school, believed in tantric rituals. He had asked his son (school director) Dinesh Baghel to sacrifice a child for the prosperity of the school and his family.

Student abducted

Hathras Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ashok Kumar Singh told news agency PTI that on September 23, the father-son duo along with three other staff members abducted the victim from the school hostel and took him to a secluded spot to sacrifice him. However, the boy woke up and started crying.

Police said that after this the accused strangled the boy to death. According to the police, the accused told the child's parents that their son was being taken to the hospital in Baghel's car as he was unwell. However, the child's family stopped the car midway and came to know about their son's death. They immediately informed the police.

5 people arrested

The Uttar Pradesh police have arrested five people in the case, including school owner Jasodhan Singh, director Dinesh Baghel, principal Laxman Singh and two other teachers Ramprakash Solanki and Veerpal Singh. An FIR has been registered against them under Section 103 (1) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
