Lok Sabha Election: After being appointed as the National General Secretary of Lok Dal, Vijendra Singh did a huge road show from Ghaziabad to Meerut and showed his strength before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In fact, apart from SP alliance, Congress, BJP led NDA alliance, BSP, Lok Dal has also given its nod for 2024. Lok Dal, a political party with pro-farmer ideology of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, has registered its presence in Western UP before the Lok Sabha elections. According to political experts, the possibility of division of votes due to Lok Dal's entry cannot be ruled out.

After being appointed National General Secretary of Lok Dal,
Vijender Singh demonstrated his strength by holding a huge road show from Ghaziabad to Meerut. In this road show, a large crowd of people along with hundreds of tractors and vehicles were seen on the roads.

On reaching Meerut, Vijendra Singh went to the Commissionerate and garlanded the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh. After this, in the press conference he targeted RLD. He said, "Lok Dal is the true well-wisher of farmers. Lok Dal was founded by Chaudhary Charan Singh and we are moving ahead adopting his ideals, whereas RLD is forgetting his ideals."

'Political parties only did politics in the name of farmers'
Vijendra Singh also targeted other political parties including SP, which were fulfilling their political ambitions through farmers. He said, “Sali Lok Dal is our party. RLD has only done family politics in the name of farmers. Now in Western UP the people's choice is not Rashtriya Lok Dal but Lok Dal. SP and RLD together have only cheated the farmers and did not organize even a single major movement while being in opposition.

'Lok Dal will contest elections on 80 Lok Sabha seats'
During this, he announced that Lok Dal will contest elections on all 80 Lok Sabha seats of UP. He said that soon a strong organizational structure of the party will be prepared in every district. He also announced to fight for the rights of the farmers of UP, the problems of sugarcane farmers and a big movement for loan waiver.

At the same time, Vijendra Singh also announced to organize big programs by uniting farmers across UP on 23 December, the birth anniversary of former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh. 

Whose gain or loss is due to division of votes?
With the entry of Lok Dal in Western UP, the discussion has started as to which way the farmers will go in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections . According to political pundits, if Lok Dal emerges, RLD may have to suffer losses.

Now if RLD has an alliance with SP, then SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will also indirectly suffer loss. If opposition parties fight among themselves and divide votes, then BJP is likely to benefit from it.
