Pradesh created havoc. The torrential rains have so far claimed the lives
of 71 people and many houses have been washed away. Its effect is also

Heavy rains have caused havoc especially in Mandi,
Shimla, Hamirpur, Kangra and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pradesh. If
IMD is to be believed, the state has received 111 per cent more rainfall than
normal for the last one week. There has been flood in many districts,
while landslides have also happened in many places. Many houses collapsed
in no time, in which people got badly trapped. Indian Air Force personnel
have safely evacuated many people from the flood-affected areas.

Shimla Himachal Pradesh's IMD scientist Surendra Paul says that the state received sporadic rains in the last 24 hours. This time the monsoon is at its peak. If you look at the figures, Himachal Pradesh has received 43 percent more rainfall since June 1. Monsoon will be weak for the next 4-5 days, rains will be less. There will be controlled rains in the state till August 25.

IAF has released a video rescuing people. IAF says that after successfully rescuing more than 220 civilians from Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today, the operation by Western Air Command helicopters has been completed for the time being. DLED exam schedule changed
Effect of rain Himachal Pradesh School Education Board 2-year
Diploma in Elementary Education CET-2023 (DELED) examination has been
postponed. Now the counseling will be held from August 28 to September 5. Roads
are closed in the state due to heavy rains, in view of which the Board of
Education has changed the counseling schedule. Earlier this counseling was
to be held from 21st August, but now it will start from 28th August.
