Delhi government officer kept raping friend's minor daughter for two years, Kejriwal suspended, police detained

A Delhi government official has been booked for allegedly raping the minor daughter of his deceased friend for several months. The officer has been suspended on the orders of CM Arvind Kejriwal.


Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has suspended the officer accused of raping the minor daughter of a late friend in Delhi. The CM has called for a report from the Chief Secretary regarding the suspension by 5 pm. The officer accused of rape was the deputy director of the Women and Child Development Department of Delhi. Police is interrogating the accused in custody. The statement of the minor girl has been recorded.

The Delhi Police has also registered an FIR against the accused and his wife on charges of rape under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. There is an allegation of giving abortion medicine to the wife of the accused.

What is the whole matter

It is alleged that the deputy director of the Women and Child Development Department was making his friend's minor daughter a victim of rape for a long time. A case has been registered in this regard at Burari police station in North district. The 17-year-old girl's father died in October 2020. After which the accused brought the minor girl to his house in Burari.

The accused's wife got abortion done by giving abortion pills

According to the police, the minor alleges that in November-December 2020 and January 2021, her local guardian (Delhi government official) raped her. When she told this to the wife of the accused, the woman threatened her and also got her aborted. The girl remained under stress and pressure. He also had to face panic attacks after the incident. This thing came to light during his treatment.
