Bank Holidays in Sep: Banks will remain closed for 16 days, see full list

Due to the G-20 Summit in Delhi, all government offices as well as banks will remain closed from 8 to 10 September. The list of bank holidays has been released by the Reserve Bank of India.


New Delhi: There are few days left in the beginning of next month i.e. September. But this month is full of bank holidays. In such a situation, if your bank has some important work, then it should be dealt with immediately. We are going to tell you every date in which there are bank holidays. Due to the G-20 Summit in Delhi, all government offices as well as banks will remain closed from 8 to 10 September. The list of bank holidays has been released by the Reserve Bank of India. 

Banks will remain closed for 16 days
According to the list of holidays issued by the Reserve Bank of India, banks will be closed for a total of 16 days in the month of September, including different festivals and Saturday and Sunday holidays. There are many festivals in September like Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Eid-e-Milad. To avoid any problem, before going to the bank, do check the list of bank holidays.

Banks will remain closed on this date
September 3, 2023- Sunday, weekly holiday, banks will remain closed all over the country.
September 6, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Patna due to Krishna Janmashtami.
September 7, 2023- Due to Krishna Janmashtami, there will be bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Telangana, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar.
September 9, 2023- Second Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country.
September 10, 2023- Sunday, weekly holiday, banks will remain closed across the country.
September 17, 2023- Sunday, weekly holiday, banks will remain closed across the country. 
September 18, 2023- Vinayaka Chaturthi, banks will remain closed in Bengaluru and Telangana.
September 19, 2023- Ganesh Chaturthi, banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji.
September 20, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Bhubaneswar due to Ganesh Chaturthi and Nuakhai.
September 22, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Kochi, Panaji and Trivandrum due to Narayan Guru Samadhi Day.
September 23, 2023- Fourth Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country.
September 24, 2023- Sunday, weekly holiday, banks will remain closed across the country.
September 25, 2023- Due to the birth anniversary of Shrimant Sankardev, there will be a bank holiday in Guwahati.
September 27, 2023- Milad-e-Sharif, banks in Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Trivandrum will remain closed.
September 28, 2023- Due to Eid-e-Milad, banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Telangana, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi.
September 29, 2023 - Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Jammu and Srinagar.

When the bank is closed,
you may have to wait for the important work due to the closure of the bank, in such a situation, you can settle your important work through mobile or net banking. You can use ATM to withdraw cash.
