Punjab Police bursts north India biggest arms racket, arrests Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang members
Chandigarh: Punjab police on Thursday
claimed that it has burst the biggest arms smuggling racket in North India.
As per Punjab police, the smugglers used to
supply weapons in the state of Haryana and Punjab.
A total of
4 major gangsters associated with the Bambiha and Lawrence Bishnoi gang were
identified and 5 others were arrested, claimed the Punjab Police.
The Police
said that it had also recovered 24 illegal weapons and 12 live cartridges.

breakthrough, CIA unit of @sasnagarpolice busts
one of the biggest arms smuggling rackets of North India. The arms smugglers
used to supply weapons in Punjab and Haryana, Identified 4 major Gangsters of
Bambiha & Lawrence Gang and arrested 5 associates,” tweeted DGP Punjab
Police.
The Punjab
Police informed that the kingpin of this racket was Vikrant alias Vikki Thakur
of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He used to supply arms to major gangs.

Punjab
Police said that they are pledged to destroy the illegal arms network as per
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s direction.
