Manipur Viral Video Row: Union Minister RK Ranjan Singh’s House Attacked In Imphal; 2nd Time In 2 Months

Mann asked his predecessor to come clean on allegation else he will make public all information about his nephew demanding seeking bribe in lieu of govt job to sportsperson

Chandigarh, May 25: The verbal war between Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his predecessor and Congress leader Charanjit Channi took an ugly turn on Thursday when the former asked the latter to come clean over the allegations of his nehew demanding Rs 2 crore to provide job to a budding sportsperson.

Earlier in the day, Punjab CM Bhagwan Mann openly challenged Charanjit Channi that "he was giving him time till 2 pm of May 31 to make public all information about his nephew demanding bribe from a sportsperson in order to provide him a government job".

In a tweet, he said, “If you fail to do it by May 31, 2 pm, I will release the photo and name of your nephew and the meeting place of the sportsperson with your nephew to Punjabis.”

During a public event at Dirba in Sangrur on Monday, Bhagwant Mann claimed that when he had gone to Dharamsala to watch a cricket match, a player came to him and said he had approached Charanjit Singh Channi for a job under the sports quota. However, he was  allegedly asked to his nephew, who sought Rs 2 crore for getting the work done.
