Update: Rain has wreaked havoc across the country. Flood-like conditions
have arisen in many states like Assam, Jammu-Kashmir, Bihar, Himachal etc. State
governments are working to take people to safe places. At the same time,
special initiative is also being taken for the safety of the tourists who have
reached here. Heavy jam is being seen on the National Highway of Himachal. Many
vehicles are stuck in jam here. People have to wait for hours in the jam. On
the other hand, about 170 lakh people have been affected due to heavy rains in
Barpeta district of Assam.
Due to heavy rains in Mendhar of Poonch, there was a sudden flood
in the Harni drain. People saved a person with great difficulty.

Traffic stopped due to flash flood near Hanogi Mata Temple on National Highway 3 in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Administration is on alert. All officers have been ordered to handle the situation. Orders have been issued to stop the movement of vehicles.

The flood situation in Assam's Nalbari remains critical due to rising water level after incessant rains. On the flood situation in the state, Assam minister Ranjit Kumar Das told that 20 districts and more than 5 lakh people are affected due to rains in the state. Our ministers are visiting the affected districts. We are regularly monitoring the rise in water level in the flood affected areas. Around 4.89 lakh people in 19 districts have been affected due to the flood situation.

Several parts of Kangra city have been waterlogged after incessant rains.IMD Himachal Pradesh today issued a flash flood warning for 24 hours. Moderate to high risk is expected in some watersheds and neighborhood of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Sirmaur and Mandi districts in Himachal Pradesh.
