DA Hike News: Modi government has once again given good news for the common poor. Along with the DA hike, the subsidy available under the Ujjwala scheme has also been increased. Let's look at the major decisions taken in the cabinet today.
DA Hike and LPG Cylinder News: The
decision for which the general public was waiting for months. Today the
Modi government has stamped it. Whether it is subsidy on LPG cylinder or
DA hike. Several major decisions were taken in the Union Cabinet meeting
today. The government has released an additional installment for dearness
allowance. Central employees will get a lot of relief from this
announcement. The central government has increased the dearness allowance
from 4% to 42%. Let us inform that this decision has been taken after the
meeting of the Union Cabinet held on Friday evening. The Central
Government has informed that the Cabinet has approved the release of additional
installment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness
Relief to pensioners from January 1, 2023. This will benefit 47.58 lakh
employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners.
LPG cylinder subsidy extended for 1 year
The Union Cabinet has approved a subsidy of Rs 200
per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 12 refills per year to the beneficiaries of
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that due
to global reasons, it was decided to give 12 cylinders in a year and subsidy of
Rs. There is no major change in international prices, so it has been
decided to extend this subsidy for one more year. This will benefit about
9.6 crore families.
Central employees will also get two months' outstanding arrears.
Explain that according to the figures of AICPI-IW,
dearness allowance is given to the employees by adding and subtracting inflation. This
allowance is revised every six months. Now that the central government has
announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for January. So in
this case this allowance will be implemented from January 1, 2023 only. In
such a situation, the central employees will also get the outstanding arrears
of two months. It is being said that this will also be paid along with the
March salary.
Important decisions taken in
the cabinet
With this, the Union Cabinet has fixed the Minimum
Support Price (MSP) for raw jute at Rs 5050 per quintal for the 2023-24 season. Union
Minister Anurag Thakur said that last year the MSP of jute was Rs 4,750 per
quintal, it has been increased by Rs 300 to Rs 5,050 per quintal. This
will give a profit of 63% on the average product cost. This will benefit
40 lakh jute farmers.
