Bathinda News: Vigilance has arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Bathinda Rural Amit Ratan Kotfatta's PA. Resham Garg has been caught red-handed by taking a bribe of Rs 4 lakh. Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amit Ratan Kotfatta's PA has been arrested by Vigilance on charges of allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh from the husband of a woman sarpanch. Resham Garg has been detained. 


According to the information received, MLA Amit Ratan Kotfatta's PA. Resham Garg had demanded a bribe of Rs 4 lakh from the sarpanch of Gudda village to pass the bill. The block development panchayat officer used to release this amount but due to the alleged pressure of the MLA, he is not giving the amount. After which the vigilance team has arrested him by laying a trap on the complaint of the sarpanch.  

It is said that the MLA's PA Resham Garg took the bribe money and kept it in the car. At that time MLA Kotfatta got down from the car and was talking to some people. Vigilance conducted this operation under the leadership of DSP Sandeep Singh. PA Resham Singh also tried to escape during the arrest. However, he has been arrested. 


Meanwhile, the husband of the said female sarpanch has alleged that the PA of AAP MLA Amit Ratan from Bathinda rural. He had complained to the higher authorities of vigilance, after which the vigilance took action and detained the MLA's PA.
