Vande Bharat Express Attacked: On the question of damage to Vande Bharat Express or broken windows, officials said, "It (damage) will be assessed when the train reaches Visakhapatnam."

Stone Pelting on Vande Bharat Express in Telangana: An incident of stone pelting on the Vande Bharat Express going from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam by unknown people has come to light in Mahabubabad district of Telangana on Friday. Railway officials said that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has taken cognizance of the matter and investigation is underway.

On the question of damage to Vande Bharat Express or broken window panes, the officials said, "It (damage) will be assessed when the train reaches Visakhapatnam."

Officials told on the basis of preliminary investigation that it is suspected that some children might have pelted stones at the train, but the investigation is on. An official said that the matter is being investigated and the Railway Police has registered a case on its own.

Significantly, even before the official launch of Vande Bharat last month, stones were pelted at the coaches of this train in the railway yard of Visakhapatnam, due to which a window glass was broken. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off this train through digital medium on January 15.
