India-America Yudh Abhyas 2022: The Ministry of External Affairs has given a strong reaction to China's opposition to the Indo-America military exercise (Yudh Abhyas 2022) going on near the Line of Control (LAC) in Uttarakhand. Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said, "With whom India will do military exercise, it is its own matter." China violates its own agreement.

Bagchi said that we have a relationship with America, on which no one can veto. China on Wednesday (30 November) said that it opposes the Indo-US joint military exercise along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and it violates the spirit of the two border agreements signed between New Delhi and Beijing.

 

What did the Chinese Foreign Ministry say?

 

Speaking to the media in Beijing on Wednesday (November 30), Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said, "Joint military exercises between India and the US took place in 1993 and 1996 between China and India near the LAC on the China-India border." Violates the spirit of the agreement." Along with this, he claimed that it does not fulfill the mutual trust between China and India.

What is the purpose? 

 

Indo-US joint military exercise 'Yudh Abhyas' is going on in Uttarakhand, about 100 km from LAC. It aims to enhance interoperability and share expertise between the two armies in peacekeeping and disaster relief operations. This exercise, which lasts for about two weeks, has started recently.
