Hearing On Gyanvapi Case Will Be Held Tomorrow, Big Decision May Come
(Priyanshi Srivastava): The matter related to the
Varanasi Gyanvapi campus of Uttar Pradesh has been a topic of constant
discussion. Carbon dating has been in demand for many days. Several
petitions related to this matter were also filed. However, those petitions
were rejected by the court. But in the meantime, news has come out that
the Supreme Court has once again taken cognizance of the matter. It has
been decided to hear on the protection of Shivling in Gyanvapi Shringar Gauri
complex.
The Supreme Court has fixed the hearing on the matter of protection of Shivling at 3 pm tomorrow. In a previous order, the Supreme Court had directed the District Magistrate of Varanasi to ensure that the place where the 'Shivling' was found inside the mosque is kept safe.
In the Gyanvapi case, a petition was filed on behalf of the Hindu side, in which mainly 6 women are involved. Their demand is that the worship of Shrigar Gauri located in the premises should be allowed and the entry of Muslims should be banned as well as the domes made in the mosque should be demolished. A hearing was also held but nothing came out of the result. It has to be seen what will be the decision after the hearing in the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had also ordered that the right of Muslims to offer Namaz should not be affected by this. The Supreme Court had directed the Varanasi District Judge to decide on the application of Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Committee of Gyanvapi Masjid seeking quashing of the case. The committee had said that the Gyanvapi case cannot be filed under the Places of Worship Act.
