Parwanoo Cable Car Rescue: Cable car stuck in the air in Parwanoo, 11 tourists rescued
A cable car trolley carrying tourists got stuck in the air in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. As many as 11 tourists were stranded due to technical glitches in the Parwanoo Timber Trail.

after receiving the information. As per information, now all the 11
tourists have been rescued. One by one, the rescue team rescued the people
trapped in the trolley.
The cable car trolley was stuck at an altitude of 250 to 300 feet. The
rest were pulled out of the trolley with the help of ropes. According to
the Solan district police chief, a rescue trolley was installed on the cable to
evacuate the tourists. The technical team of the trolley was also present
on the occasion.

Life stuck in the air!
At least 11 people were trapped in a cable car parked in the middle of the day in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh on Monday afternoon. All the people have been rescued by speeding rescue operation. A total of 15 people were trapped in the two cable cars, said Onkar Chand Sharma, principal secretary, Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Department. 4 people were trapped in the upper trolley and 11 people in the lower trolley. The NDRF team soon reached the spot. The Air Force was also alerted.
Rescue operations continue
Before evacuating all the people, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had said that work was underway to evacuate tourists stranded on the Parwanoo Timber Trail in Solan. As soon as the incident was reported, the Chief Minister himself went to the spot. The Chief Minister said that the administration was present on the spot and with the help of NDRF and the administration all the passengers would be evacuated soon.
A similar incident had taken place
in 1992, followed by a similar incident in
October 1992. The driver jumped out of the trolley in the accident. Ten
tourists were rescued after the army and air force
operation. In fact, people
travel to Punjab and Chandigarh, including Himachal Pradesh, to enjoy the
Timber Cable Car Trolley at Solan. The cable car Timber Trail is a popular
feature of the private resort, which is about 35 km from Chandigarh on the road
to Kasauli and Shimla.
