Mumbai: NIA raids 20 locations of hawala operators-drug peddlers linked to Dawood Ibrahim

In February, the NIA had registered a case against many hawala operators and drug peddlers associated with Dawood Ibrahim. 


New Delhi:  The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is being raided since Monday morning on more than 20 locations of the country's fugitive gangsters and associates of Dawood Ibrahim (Pakistan) hiding in neighboring Pakistan. The NIA has started this action against the associates of notorious underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and some hawala operators in many areas of Mumbai including Nagpada, Goregaon, Borivali, Santacruz, Mumbra, Bhendi Bazar. In February, the NIA had registered a case against many hawala operators and drug peddlers associated with Dawood Ibrahim. 


According to NIA sources, NCP leader and minister in Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Maharashtra Nawab Malik has been arrested in the case in which this raid is being done. At present, Malik is in jail. In February this year, the Union Home Ministry handed over the investigation of the cases related to Dawood Ibrahim to the NIA. According to the information, apart from Dawood Ibrahim and D-Company, NIA will also investigate the cases related to Chhota Shakeel, Javed Chikna, Tiger Menon, Iqbal Mirchi (dead), Dawood's sister Haseena Parkar (dead).

Dawood is hiding with the help of terrorist organizations

Intelligence agencies are continuously monitoring Dawood Ibrahim and his D-company accused of terror funding, narco terror, drugs smuggling and fake currency circulation in India. Dawood Ibrahim and D-Company have been found guilty by the Union Home Ministry of carrying out terrorist acts in India in association with notorious and banned terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Al-Qaeda. On being told by India, the United Nations has also banned underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company by declaring it a terrorist organization.

UN rewarded terrorist is hiding in Pakistan

The United Nations had declared Dawood Ibrahim, the mastermind of the 1993 and 2003 Mumbai blasts, as a global terrorist. Along with this, a reward of $ 25 million was kept on the head of this fugitive. According to reports, Dawood Ibrahim, who is included in India's 'Most Wanted' list, is running his illegal terrorist business sitting in Pakistan. India has handed over dossier with evidences to the Pakistan government about Dawood, the relative of former Pakistan cricketer Miandad. In this, the full address of Dawood Ibrahim, located in the posh area of ​​Karachi, has also been mentioned.
